Mere Mortals
he only possible excuse for this book is that the events actually happened to author Neil Ravin and he had to write the novel to free himself from the past. The outcome of the book is so heavily foreshadowed by both the first chapter and the use of lines from James Taylor's song Fire and Rain, that it comes as no surprise. Most disappointing is the lack of medical detail that was so delightful in M.D. and Evidence; this is simply a love story where the characters just happen to be a doctor and nurse.
